• Earned his second consecutive Swimmer of the Meet honor at the 2021-22 America East Championships
• Also named to his second straight America East All-Academic Team
• Named America East Swimmer of the Week on Nov. 16, 2021
• Earned the 2020 America East Most Outstanding Rookie award for the championships

• Captured three individual and two team gold medals at the America East Championships
• Won all three sprint freestyle events (50, 100, 200) and part of 400 freestyle and medley relay-winning teams
• Triumphed in the 100 and 200 freestyle at the ECAC Winter Championships\
• Won the 50 and 500 freestyle events and swam the anchor leg of UMBC’s record-setting effort in the 200 yard freestyle relay versus VMI

2020-21

• Placed second in the 100 free and took first in the 50 free and 200 free.at the America East Championships 

2019-20:

• Captured silver in the 200 freestyle, bronze in the 100 free and took fourth in the 50 free
• A member of UMBC’s gold-medal winning 200 and 400 yard freestyle relay squads
• Earned his first gold in a dual meet by capturing the 50 free versus VMI

BACKGROUND:

·         An All-American in 2018 and 2019

·         Owns Clayton Valley Charter’s school records in 100 and 200 freestyle events

·         The California North Coast Sectional champion in the 100 freestyle (44.32)

·         Also lettered in water polo and soccer for the Ugly Eagles  

PERSONAL:

·         Son of Regula and Joern Weigelt

·         Has one sister, Alina

·         Considering a major in economics 

·         Spent a year in Germany as an exchange student in 2016-17
