Biography

NOTES:

  • Became the Cyprus national record holder in the 50m fly.

2019-20:

  • Captured sixth place in the 100 butterfly in her final collegiate meet, the 2020 ECAC Championships
  • Competed in a pair of A finals at the America East Championships and earned silver in the 100 fly
  • Earned America East Swimmer of the Week honors after her effort versus Howard
  • Won the 50 yard butterfly event and swam the 100 fly leg in a blistering time of 56.15 as the Retrievers captured the opening 400 medley relay event versus the Bison

2018-19:

  • At the America East Championships, earned silver in the 100 fly with a personal best time of 54.85.
  • Also finished seventh in the 200 fly (2:07.49) and ninth in the 100 back (57.75).
  • Finished first in the 100 fly with a time of 57.09 against VMI.
  • At the Patriot Invitational, finished 11th in the 100 fly (56.97) and 15th in the 200 fly (2:10.52).
  • Against Towson, finished third in the 100 fly and fifth in the 50 free (24.82).
  • In her UMBC debut against Johns Hopkins and Delaware, finished third in the 100 fly (58.09) and seventh in the 50 free (25.19).

BACKGROUND:

  • Transferred to UMBC from the University of Indianapolis, where she qualified for the 2017 NCAA Division II National Championships Festival
  • Was the only female Cypriot to represent her country at the 2016 Rio Olympics, where she swam the 100 fly in a time of 1:02.91
  • Finished third at the 17th Games of the Small States of Europe in the 100 fly (1:02.83)
  • Swam for Limassol Nautical Club
