2019-20:

• Earned one finals appearance at 2020 America East Championships and captured fifth place in the 100 backstroke
• Racked up points for the Retrievers with a ninth-place finish in the 200 back
• Won the 50 butterfly in a January dual meet versus Howard
• Earned silver in the 100 back at Towson in November

2018-19:

• Two-time finalist at the America East Championships.
• Earned silver in the 100 back with a time of 56.14; Also finished fourth in the 200 back in a time of 2:02.98.
• In the 50 free, finished 10th with a time of 24.32.
• Against East Carolina, touched in first in the 200 back (2:06.16), second in the 100 back (58.43), and fifth in the 50 free (25.02).
• Helped the Retrievers set a new pool record in the 400 medley relay (3:50.00) against Howard.
• Placed 22nd in the 100 back at the Patriot Invitational with a time of 59.33.
• Earned third place in the 100 back with a time of 58.48 and eighth in the 200 back with a time of 2:11.74 against Towson.
• Against William and Mary, touched in second with a time of 58.69 in the 100 back and sixth in the 200 back with a time of 2:09.03.
• At Navy, finished third in the 100 back with a time of 58.46 and seventh in the 200 back with a time of 2:11.36.
• Against Johns Hopkins and Delaware, finished second in the 100 back with a time of 58.41; also placed fourth in the 200 back with a time of 2:09.77.

2017-18: Two-time champion at the America East Championships… In the 200 back, set the America East record and reset her own UMBC record with a time of 1:57.61… In the 100 back, touched in with a time of 54.50, resetting Lauren Day’s record… Also earned eighth place in the 50 free with a time of 23.89… Earned silver in the 400 free and medley relay and bronze with the 200 free relay… At the ECAC Championships, broke her own record in the 100 back, touching in with a time of 54.36 for third place… Earned All-America East honors.

2016-17: Made a splash in her first year as a Retriever… At the ECAC Championships, took home second in the 200 back with a time of 1:59.42 and third in the 100 back with a time of 55.12… Placed first in the 200 back, third in the 100 back, and tenth in the 50 free with a season best time of 24.04 at the America East Championships.

Background: Named a scholastic all-american for swimming and academics...Qualified for Winter USA Junior Nationals in the 100 backstroke…Traveled to Florida for Age Group Junior Nationals...Consistently on the honor roll.

Personal: Daughter of Sandy and Andy Vance... Has one sibling, Jared Vance… Majoring in health administration & policy... Lists favorite food as crabs, and favorite pro team is the Orioles and favorite music artist as Thomas Rhett.
