Men's & Women's Cross Country Set to Open Campaign at Mount St. Mary's on Friday Morning

MOUNT ST. MARY'S 5K DUALS

This Friday, August 29th, begins the 2025 cross country season for UMBC as they travel to Mount St. Mary's for the annual Mount 5K Duals on the PNC Sports Complex Grounds. Lexi Tepper will try to defend her title after winning the event last season. UMBC graduate Mark Unger won the men's race last season. The meet begins at 11 a.m. with the men's race, followed by the women's event. Runners start and finish in the open field opposite the Waldron Family Stadium.
 
COMPETING TEAMS:   Mount St. Mary's, UMBC, Howard, Catholic, Towson, Goucher, Hood, McDaniel, Gettysburg, Delaware
 
5K DUALS HISTORY:   On the women's side, Navy has won the most titles with six, followed by American with five, Johns Hopkins (2), George Washington (2), UMBC (2), and Maryland and Howard winning once. On the men's side, American has won the title six times, UMBC (5), George Washington (4), Navy (2), and Johns Hopkins, Maryland, and the Mount once.
