Unger Leads Men's Cross Country at NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals

University Park, Pa. – The UMBC men's cross country team finished their season with a 13-place finish out of 23 squads at the 2024 NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals on Friday afternoon at Penn State Cross Country Course.
 
2024 America East All-Conference graduate student Mark Unger recorded the second-fastest 10K time in program history as he crossed the finish line in 31:07.7.  Unger placed 49th out of 192 finishers.
 
Freshman Daniel Danilovitz (31:23.6) was the 11th fastest freshman in the race and finished 61st overall.
 
Senior America East All-Conference selection Cameron Hindle (69th, 31:34.0), freshman Kieran Mischke (95th, 32:00.9), and senior Brendan Cave (134, 32:45.7) completed the scoring for the Retrivers.
 
Senior Zachary Taylor (32:57.1) and junior Thomas Folkes (34:12.9) also competed in the event.
 
Villanova won the event with 50 points.
