Castro Named America East Rookie of the Week

BOSTON -- UMBC freshman swimmer Christian Castro was named the America East Male Rookie of the Week, the Conference announced on Tuesday afternoon.

At the Tiger Winter Open this past weekend, Castro won the 1650 by improving his seed time by over 16 seconds to finish in 16:26.39.

The Retrievers return to action in two weeks for the America East Championships hosted by VMI
