ABOUT THE RETRIEVERS
  • The Retrievers have opened the season with a 3-2 mark for the second straight campaign.
  • Kolby Weedon is sixth in the America East Conference with 3.80 points per game. The junior went over the 100-point mark for her career in Wednesday's victory at Mount St. Mary's. She also ranks ninth on the circuit with 2.40 goals per game and needs 16 more to reach 100.
  • Junior attacker Grace Bruce leads the Dawgs with 16 goals and ranks fifth in the league with 3.20 per game. Bruce is also ninth in points per game (3.20).
  • Junior Katana Nelson is sixth in the conference with 3.00 goals per game as she has 12 winners in four contests.
  • Mary Ellis is tied for second on the circuit with 2.00 assists per game.
  • Lauryn Warfield is leading the America East with 8.20 draw controls per game.

LAST TIME OUT
  • Bruce and Nelson enjoyed career performances as the Retrievers defeated the Mount St. Mary's Mountaineers, 15-11, on Wednesday afternoon at Waldron Family Stadium.
  • Bruce and Nelson scored five goals apiece while Weedon recorded a hat-trick in the first quarter and went over the 100-point mark for her career. Sophomore midfielder Libby Staples added a pair of goals and had four ground balls while Warfield had 10 draw controls.  Ellis distributed a game-high three assists and Fontana made six saves. 
ABOUT THE EXPLORERS
  • La Salle is coming off a 21-4 victory at Howard on Wednesday afternoon, their biggest win since 2014.  Five different players score multiple goals.
  • Junior attacker Katie Johnson, junior attacker Ellen Stickney, and junior midfielder Gina D'Angelo recorded hat tricks.
  • Johnson leads the squad with 14 goals and 17 points.
  • Stickney has added nine goals along with five assists.
  • Senior midfielder Mackenzie Click has come up with a team-best 27 draw controls and 15 ground balls.

SERIES HISTORY
  • UMBC has won 3-of-4 contests against the Explorers.
  • The Retrievers cruised to an 18-8 victory last season at UMBC Stadium. Weedon and Ellis scored a pair of goals while junior midfielder Ria Lagdameo added another. Fontana made eight saves.
