BALTIMORE - UMBC Director of Athletics Brian Barrio announced the promotion of Seth Nagle to the position of Associate Athletic Director, External Operations.

Nagle had served as UMBC Athletics' assistant director for annual giving since August of 2018 and earned a promotion to assistant director of athletics in April 2022.  He has led the way in increasing the Retrievers' Giving Day donations over seven-fold in that time. Nagle has also spearheaded UMBC Athletics' outstanding efforts in the annual Maryland Charities Campaign and as director of The Retriever Golf Tournament.

"Seth has been a tireless advocate for UMBC alumni, student-athletes, and coaches throughout his tenure at UMBC," said Barrio. " He is a key member of the senior staff here, and for many of our alumni and supporters, he is the primary ambassador for the Department of Athletics.  The positive experience our fans and alumni have at UMBC events owes much to his conscientious and thoughtful work.  We are thrilled to recognize the value he brings for all of our constituents."

The La Plata, Md. native came to #RetrieverNation in January 2015.  He has worked in marketing, promotions, corporate partnerships and sales and ticketing during his tenure.
 
Nagle completed his Bachelor of Science degree in recreation and sports management from Coastal Carolina University in May 2015.
