Women's Lacrosse Travels to New Hampshire With America East Playoff Berth at Stake

WHAT'S AT STAKE
- The Retrievers are still alive and can earn the No. 4 seed in next week's America East Tournament at UAlbany. UMBC must defeat New Hampshire by three or more goals and UAlbany needs to knock off Bryant by any score.

LAST TIME OUT
- The visiting Vermont Catamounts scored the final six goals of the game to edge the Retrievers, 12-10, last Saturday afternoon at UMBC Stadium.
 - UMBC, who honored six seniors prior to the contest on Senior Day, got two goals each by seniors Shannon Finch, Lauren Cremen, and Claire Bockstie as well as sophomore Kolby Weedon. 
- Bockstie, who scored two goals and added two helpers, moved into a tie for second place on UMBC's all-time goals list with 152 tallies. In addition, junior defender Kennedy Evans became UMBC's all-time single-season leader after causing a game-high four turnovers and now has 30 on the season.

DAWG BITES
- Bockstie leads the AE in points per game (4.85) and is second in the conference with 3.23 goals per game. Her 1.62 assists per game ranks sixth on the circuit. She is also 11th in the nation in points per game.
- Cremen is eleventh in the conference in goals per game (2.38).
- Halczuk is averaging a league-high 8.00 draw controls per game and she ranks seventh in the country in the category.
- Junior defender Kennedy Evans is second on the circuit with 2.42 caused turnovers per game and is now 6th on UMBC's all-time list with 60 career CT's.
- Fontana leads the league in save percentage (.465) and saves per game (9.62). She is also fourth in ground balls per game (2.46).
- UMBC ranks sixth in the country and leads the league with a .602 draw percentage.

ABOUT NEW HAMPSHIRE
- UNH is sixth in the conference in goals per game (11.54) and are third in goals against (12.31).
- Katie Taranto is third in the league in goals per game (3.15) and is 8th overall in points per game (3.46).
- Allie Connerty is fourth in the AE with 1.85 assists per game.
- Emma Alpaugh is third on the circuit with 2.54 ground balls per game and is ninth with 1.15 caused turnovers per game.
- Mackenzie MacEachem is sixth overall with 4.38 draw controls per game.
- Goalie Maria Hogan is fourth in the AE with a 12.57 goals against average and is fifth in saves percentage (.398). In addition, she's third in saves per game (8.00).

SERIES HISTORY
- UMBC is 5-14 all-time against the Wildcats.
- The Retrievers stopped a three-game slide in the series with a 13-10 victory in Baltimore last season on Senior Day. Bockstie scored a game-high four goals and added two helpers. Dymin Gerow, Weedon and Halczuk each chipped in two goals.
- The Retrievers are 2-8 against the Wildcats in Durham.
