HALCZUK BECOME'S UMBC's DRAW CONTROL QUEEN
- UMBC women's lacrosse senior midfielder
Megan Halczuk became UMBC's all-time career leader with 273 draw controls in last Saturday afternoon's victory at Robert Morris.
- Halczuk surpassed Caitlin Miller, who compiled 268 DC's from 2015 through 2018. Halczuk is currently ninth in the NCAA with 8.5 draw controls per game.
- Halczuk, an America East All-Conference Second Team pick last season, re-set her single season record with 111 draw controls in 2022. In 2021, she became the first player in school history to record 100 draws and earned America East First Team All-Conference and All-Rookie Team honors. Halczuk was also named to the 2021 IWLCA Mid-Atlantic All-Region Second Team after finishing eighth in the NCAA and first in the America East in draw controls per game (8.67).
- She currently owns UMBC's single-game record with 14 draw controls against Binghamton (4/24/21). This season, Halczuk recorded a season-high 13 draw controls in the season-opening victory at George Washington.
- She is currently 9
th in the NCAA with 8.33 DC's per game.
