BOSTON – The America East Conference named UMBC freshman Andy Vines as the Male Diver of the Week for competition ending Oct. 29, 2023.

Vines earned Diver of the Meet honors at the Thomas Murphy Invitational at Loyola Maryland this weekend. He won the competition on both boards, capturing the 1m-board with a meet record score of 276.80 and then triumphing on the 3m board with a mark of 287.35.

UMBC has a week off before taking on host VMI, along with America East foe NJIT and UNC Asheville on Saturday, Nov. 11 in Lexington, Va.
