BALTIMORE – The UMBC men's swimming and diving team captured 15 of 16 events in a meet versus America East Conference foe VMI in the Retrievers' first home meet of the 2022-23 season.

Anders Logas each won a pair of events for the Retrievers.
"We got off to a rocky start this season, but I am glad to see where we are today," said Head Coach
Matt Donovan. "Some guys are coming back from injury, coupled with senior leadership and the consistency that they always bring. When we have a singular focus, I will put this team up against anyone."
Asakawa, who is enjoying an outstanding ultimate campaign, sprinted to victory in the 50 freestyle and posted another triumph in the 200 individual medley. Nicusan and Chapman won both breaststroke and backstroke events respectively, while Logas continued his brilliant start, easily prevailing in both diving events.
UMBC triumphed, 194-92, over the Keydets.
