Eugene, Ore. – Freshman Kelechi Nwanaga capped off her strong first collegiate season on Thursday after taking fourth in the javelin at the NCAA Championships. In the process, she earned First Team All-American honors, becoming the sixth track and field athlete to earn the honor.

Along with placing fourth in the nation, Nwanaga's throw of 55.02m set a personal best, and broke the UMBC record once again.
