Tampa, Fla. – UMBC senior Tony White finished the weekend for the Retrievers on Saturday after qualifying for the NCAA Championships in the javelin.

White finished in sixth with a distance of 64.55m to send him to Eugene, Oregon.  Joining White in Eugene will be freshman Kelechi Nwanaga, also in the javelin. 

Both White and Nwanaga will compete in two weeks at the Outdoor Track and Field Championships, hosted by the University of Oregon at Hayward Field.  Competition begins on June 6^th and goes until June 9^th.
