Bowman Wins Shot Put, Track and Field Finishes ECAC/IC4A Championships

Princeton, N.J. – Senior Russell Bowman earned first in the IC4A shot put event on Sunday in New Jersey as the track and field team completed the ECAC/IC4A Championships. Bowman's winning throw went a distance of 16.78m.

Also, competing for the men on Sunday was senior John Oputa, who ran the 400m dash in 50.003, and sophomore Andrew Daniels who ran the 110m hurdles in 15.58 and the 400m hurdles in 59.88.

The 4x800m relay team finished in tenth with a time of 7:39.53.

For the women, the 4x800m relay team finished in sixth after crossing the line in 9:05.27, while the 4x400m team of Funmi Daramola, Tori Johnson, Collese Daley, and Amani Wallace took eighth with a time of 3:47.71.

Johnson also ran the 400m hurdles in 1:03.67, while Wallace finished the 200m dash in 25.28. Erin Patrice finished the same event in 26.39.

The Retrievers will travel to Tampa Bay next week for the NCAA East Preliminaries.
