Cologer Breaks School Record on Day One of ECAC/IC4A Championships

Results

Princeton, N.J.—A trio of Retrievers took to the track and field on Friday on day one of the ECAC/IC4A Championships. Sophia Cologer broke her school record in the 3,000m steeplechase to kick off the action in Princeton.

Cologer led off the meet going 10:35.59 in the 3,000m steeplechase, placing tenth in the event. The time lowers her previous school best of 10:37.89 she set last year.

Rhys Burgett ran a personal best in the men's 3,000m steeplechase, crossing the finish line in a time of 9:13.94, good for 17th place.

Ozi Edokobi was the other Retriever to compete on Friday, taking part in the discus. Edokobi placed 19th with a toss of 39.55m (129'9").

Day two of the championships begins at 9 a.m. tomorrow, Saturday May 14 from Princeton.
