Track and Field Completes the Indoor Season at the ECAC/IC4A Championships on Sunday

Boston, Mass.—A handful of Retrievers took to the track and field on the final day of the ECAC/IC4A Championships on Sunday. Essence Fredericks was the lone track runner on Sunday, earning a top ten finish in the 500m run. 

Fredericks took home seventh place in the 500m run, crossing the finish line in a time of 1:14.19.

In the field, Ozi Edokobi and Nneoma Edokobi took to the shot put competition, taking fifth and 15th respectively. Ozi had her best toss of 14.06m, while Nneoma's best throw was 12.93m.

The men had a pair of field competitors in Ishaq Rana and Thomas Johnson. Rana took home eleventh place in the shot put with a throw of 16.18m, while Johnson finished 16th in the triple jump at 14.13m. 

Both the men and women will open the spring season at the Raleigh Relays, March 25-26 in Raleigh, N.C.
