Edokobi Leads Retrievers on Day One of Colonial Relays

Day One Results 

Williamsburg, Va.—UMBC sophomore Ozi Edokobi (Rockville, Md./Richard Montgomery) earned silver in the hammer throw  on Thursday at the Colonial Relays. She was one of three Retriever throwers to compete on Thursday.

Edokobi finished second with a toss of 45.30m (148'7"), just ahead of senior Jennifer Nelson (Plainfield, Conn./Plainfield) who took third with a throw of 43.45m (142'7"). 

Her sister Nneoma Edokobi (Rockville, Md./Richard Montgomery) took home fifth place in the hammer throw championship, finishing with a toss of 48.23m (158'3").

The Retrievers return to the track with day two of the Colonial Relays starting at 9 a.m.
