Baltimore, Md.—UMBC swimming and diving fell to the Quakers on Saturday at the aquatic complex. The men suffered a 175-117 loss, while the women fell 173-127.

The women started off the day with a win tin the 200 medley relay. The quartet of Lauren Day, Emily Escobedo, Amanda Day, and Kristie Langford touched in with a time of 1:45.64.

Freshman Laura Massicotte won the first individual event for the Dawgs, taking gold in the 1,000 free with a time of 10:19.68. Escobedo picked up a pair of individual wins in the 100 breast, clocking in a time of 1:03.70, and the 200 breast with a time of 2:14.14. The New York native earned a third victory at the end of the meet in the 200 IM. She bested the field, finishing in a time of 2:05.98.

The Retrievers received second place finishes from Kristie Langford (50 free, 24.84) and Aleasha Knight (200 back, 2:05.87).

On the boards, senior Coco Darelius won the 3 meter dive with a score of 267.30.

Freshman Alexander Gliese continued his strong rookie campaign, winning the 100 back with a time of 51.12. He followed that up with a win in the 200 back, clocking in at 1:51.77. Nikola Trajkovic earned a win in the last individual race of the day, the 200 IM. Trajkovic finished in 1:55.60.

The men got a second place finish from their 200 medley team of Nikola Trajkovic, Leo Endres, Philip Adejumo and Gregor Spoerlein. The team finished with a time of 1:33.81. Other second place finishers include Leo Endres (100 breast, 58.48), Ahmed Wahby (200 fly, 1:54.96), and Philip Adejumo (100 fly, 50.99).

Penn's 200 medley team broke the pool record with a time of 1:32.43. The previous best was set by UMBC back in 2014 with a time of 1:32.44.

UMBC will close out the first half of the season at the three day Patriot Invitational, hosted by George Mason. The invitational begins on Thursday, Nov. 19 and concludes on Saturday, Nov. 21.
