Charlottesville, Va. - Sophomore Biyik Akinshemoyin (Laurel, Md./Resevoir) fell to eventual flight winner Florin Radu of Princeton, 6-0, 6-3 as UMBC completed play at the 2014 UVA Fall Classic.

The Retrievers had several other consolation matches on the slate, but were unable to pull off any victories. Senior Daniel Gray (Bowie, Md./The Bullis School) won a first-set tie-breaker over GW's Chris Fletcher, 7-6 (4), but eventually succumbed, 6-7, 6-0, 10-3.

UMBC will begin competition in the ITA Regional Tournament on Oct. 15.
