BALTIMORE, MD. - The Retrievers' track and
field teams are headed back to New York City this Friday to compete
in the Rider/Lafayette Invitational.
Returning to the city may be to the liking of senior Aaron Brooks (Upper Marlboro, Md./Dematha) . He
will has bettered his own school record in the shot put
at all meets this season. His current record in shot put stands at
16.13m (52'11").
Teammate Cameron McDearmon (Owings Mills, Md./
Franklin) will be expected to maintain strong performances in field
events as well. His personal-best in the weight throw is a toss of
17.65m (56'11").
On the women's side, freshman Mary
Katherine Kulp (Vestal, N.Y./ Vestal) continues to climb
the performance list. She currently is ranked fifth all-time in the
800m with a time of 2:18.08.
Running a 57.56 in the 400m last weekend, Kalane' Abbey
(Laurel, Md./ Laurel) will be looking to garner points for the
Retrievers as she is currently listed fifth all-time in the
event.
The Rider/Lafayette Invitational is a one day event beginning
Friday morning.
