UMBC Track and Field Competes in Second Day of IC4A/ECAC Outdoor Championships Saturday

PRINCETON, N.J.-- Junior Antonio Thomas (Columbia, Md./Long Reach) will compete in the finals of the 200-meter dash on Sunday as the UMBC track and field teams competed at the IC4A/ECAC Outdoor Championships inPrinceton, N.J. Saturday.

Thomas qualified second in a NCAA Regional Championship-qualifying time of 21.32. He also competed in the 100-meter dash prelims and finished in a season-best time of 10.76.

The men's 4x100-meter relay team of juniors Mohamed Koroma (Mitchelville, Md./C.H. Flowers/Morgan State), Adrian Arthur (Bowie, Md./Bowie), Jason Powell (Bowie, Md./Eleanor Roosevelt) and Thomas qualified for the finals in a time of 41.44. Arthur also competed in both the 100- and 200-meter dashes, finishing 15th and 11th, respectively.

On the women's side, junior Britney Foreman (Pasadena, Md./Chesapeake) competed in the 100-meter dash, finishing in 24th in 12.22.

The final day of the IC4A/ECAC Championships is Sunday.
