UMBC Indoor Track and Field Competes at Day One of IC4A/ECAC Championships

BOSTON-- The UMBC indoor track and field finished the first day of competition at the IC4A/ECAC Indoor Championships in Boston, Mass. on Saturday. Freshman Imani Colbert (Upper Marlboro, Md./C.H. Flowers) led the Retrievers, qualifying for the 60-meter hurdles finals on Sunday in eighth in a time of 8.71.

Junior Britney Foreman (Pasadena, Md./Chesapeake) qualified for the semifinals in the 60-meter dash and placed 10th in a UMBC-record time7.64.

On the men's side, juniors Adrian Arthur (Bowie, Md./Bowie) and Antonio Thomas (Columbia, Md./Long Reach) qualified for the finals heats of the 200-meter dash Sunday, finishing in times of 21.89 and 21.93, respectively. Junior Keith Brown (Columbia, Md./McDonough) qualified 16th for the 55-meter hurdles finals heats in a time of 7.67.

The 4x400 relay team of junior Marcus Dickerson (Upper Marlboro, Md./C.H. Flowers), senior James Mildenberger (Severna Park, Md./Chesapeake) and juniors Mohamed Koroma (Mitchelville, Md./C.H. Flowers/Morgan State) and Brandon Ellerby (Chesterfield, Va./Lloyd C. Bird/Morgan State) placed 20th in a 3:21.05.
