Arthur Qualifies for IC4A Championships in 200-meter Dash During Second Day of New Balance Collegiate Invitational

NEW YORK, N.Y.-- Junior Adrian Arthur (Bowie, Md./Bowie) qualified for the IC4A Championships in March with a UMBC season-best time of 22.24 in the 200-meter dash as the Retriever Indoor Track and Field teams competed in the second day of the New Balance Collegiate Invitational in New York, N.Y. Saturday.

Other UMBC season-best times included senior Emily Saltsman (Fallston, Md./Fallston) in the women's 800-meter run (2:24.07), senior Josh Okoniewski (Lusby, Md./Patuxent) in the men's 800-meter run (1:57.09), junior Sara Parkinson (Chorley, England/Loughborough University) in the women's 1-mile run (5:02.28) and sophomore Chris Snyder (McConnellsburg, Pa./McConnellsburg) in the men's 1-mile run (4:19.87).

The Retrievers return to action next Saturday at the Rider/Lafayette Invitational in New York, N.Y.
