DURHAM, N.H. - Senior attack Ali Levendusky scored three of the Retrievers' four goals, as the UMBC women's lacrosse team (2-7, 1-2 AEC) dropped its fifth straight game, falling to America East rival New Hampshire (7-2, 1-0 AEC) by a score of 11-4 Saturday afternoon.
The teams combined to score just two goals in the first half. UNH attack Ashley Durepo got the Wildcats on the board first when she converted a free-position shot just 6:05 into the game. Levendusky's hat trick was her eighth of the season, and she now leads UMBC with 28 goals on the year. With her three goals on the day, she moved into a tie with Renee Tirocchi for 10th place all-time at UMBC with 114 career tallies.
Sophomore midfielder Megan Cook scored the Retrievers' only other goal of the game, which came on a feed from freshman midfielder Erika Braerman with 7:22 remaining in the game.
