Senior attacker Claire BockstieĀ is the UMBC Athlete of the Week after she scored eight goals and added two assists in a pair of contests last week. The Forest Hill, Maryland native moved into a ninth-place tie on UMBC’s all-time goals list with 127 markers. Bockstie opened the week with three goals in UMBC’s 12-10 victory at Bucknell on February 15 and then produced a seven-point effort for the Retrievers, scoring five goals and adding a pair of assists in UMBC’s home-opener against American on February 18. She leads the Retrievers with 12 goals and 15 points this season and is currently third in the America East in points per game (5.00).
