Dani Nicusan is the UMBC Athlete of the Week after another stellar week in the pool. In a hard-fought victory in over George Mason on Jan. 21, Nicusan earned three golds for the first time in his career, posting victories in the 100 and 200-yard breaststroke events and in the 200 individual medley. In a rare mid-week meet at Towson, he broke his own school record in the 100 yard individual medley, slicing a significant amount of time (50.36-51.40) from the mark he set at Navy earlier this season.
