Quantrell Jones (Baltimore, Md.) is the UMBC Male Athlete of the Week after he played the starring role as UMBC advanced past host Stony Brook in penalty kicks in the America East Quarterfinals. In the shootout, he made a diving save on Bas Beckhoven's attempt in the eighth round. Then, Jones went to the spot himself and knocked the decider into the far left corner of the net.

Jones was brilliant over the last 65 minutes of play as the host Seawolves controlled the action. He made all six saves in that span, including a kick-out save on an SBU one-on-one opportunity just two minutes into overtime.
