Cameron Hindle is the UMBC Athlete of the Week after being the top finisher for the winning UMBC Men's Cross Country team at the Mount 5K Duals.

Hindle, the 2021 America East's Most Outstanding Rookie, was three seconds behind with 0.8 miles to run, but surged to a photo finish at the tape, nearly capturing top honors, but was judged to have been edged at the tape by Mount senior John Wang.

The Retrievers placed five runners in the top eight spots and defeated the host Mountaineers, 21-38, Howard, 17-46, and Catholic University, 15-48, in ideal conditions at the annual Labor Weekend event.
