Ava Roberts is the UMBC Athlete of the Week after she was named the America East Field Performer of the Week as she outclassed the field in the shot put, taking first with an effort of 16.42 meters, a mark that currently ranks 13th in Division I. Roberts was not done; she also won the discus with a throw of 49.06 meters.
