Katie Schwaner is the UMBC Athlete of the Week after she earned both the Outstanding Track Performer of the Meet Award and the America East Coaches Award after winning the conference championship in the 800 meters (2:09.91) and adding a silver medal in the 1,000 meters (2:49.95). She was also a member of the Retrievers' 4 x 800 relay team, which finished runner-up in 9:05.08.
