UMBC freshman midfielder Kevin Doughy (Glenelg, Md./Glenelg) is the UMBC Male Athlete of the Week after he earned America East Conference Men's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week for his effort in UMBC's 13-10 win over No. 2- Utah on Friday, March 11.

Doughty scored his first two collegiate goals in the Retriever victory. He earned a start on the first midfield unit, making just his second appearance as a Retriever and scored his first collegiate goal in the third period after Utah cut a 7-3 halftime deficit to 7-5.

The younger brother of UMBC junior attackman Mike Doughty added the Retrievers' 13th goal with 5:55 remaining.
