Emily Knapp is the UMBC Athlete of the Week after she was named the America East Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week and the league's Rookie of the Week, it was announced on Monday afternoon.

Knapp, who has now won the Rookie of the Week thrice, takes home her first Offensive Player of the Week accolade.

Last week, the Abingdon, Maryland native helped lead the undefeated Retrievers to a pair of road wins at William & Mary and Temple. She produced the game-winning goal in both contests and combined for seven goals and five assists. 

The Maryvale Prep graduate is on a torrid scoring pace as she leads the circuit in goals per game (4.17), points (6.00), and is second in assists (1.83). In addition, she ranks 13th in ground balls (2.00) as well as caused turnovers (1.17).
