Aysia Miller is the UMBC Athlete of the Week after she was named the America East Defensive Specialist of the Week, the Conference announced on Tuesday morning.

Miller averaged a league-best 5.2 digs/set last week in a 2-0 week for UMBC. She contributed a career-high tying 32 digs in a 3-2 win over UNH on Sunday, and also added five service aces and nine assists overall for the week.
