Junior Ibra Khairat  is the UMBC Athlete of the Week after he was awarded the title Most Outstanding Male Field Performer and Most Points Compiled at the America East Championships. Khairat, who won the triple jump this past winter at the America East Indoor Championships, captured the long jump with a personal-best leap of 7.34 meters (24-01.00), he then returned to win the triple jump with an new school-record effort of 15.63 meters (51-03.50).
