Ava Roberts is the UMBC Athlete of the Week after she was named America East Field Performer of the Week on Tuesday afternoon.

Roberts won the gold medal in the shot put at the 2024 Penn Relays on Saturday afternoon. Roberts' throw of 54'11.25" is a new school record. In addition, Roberts took home silver in the discus on Friday with an effort of 165'2".
