Todd Holland brings over a decade of finance, budgeting, and accounting leadership across higher education, nonprofit, and public sectors. As UMBC's Senior Associate Athletic Director and Chief Financial Officer for Athletics, he oversees a multi-million dollar budget spanning 17 teams and a multitude of other athletic units and leads all aspects of financial management, reporting, budgeting, and strategic planning for the department.
Before joining UMBC, Todd held senior financial roles at several prestigious institutions, including Georgetown University, the University of Virginia, the University of Colorado Boulder, and Dartmouth College. He has managed complex multi-fund budgets ranging from $30M to $500M and has extensive experience in financial modeling and reporting, contribution and grant management, and financial and business service management.
Todd holds an MBA in Finance and General Management from Michigan State University (2009) and a BS in Financial Management from Boston University (2000). He is currently completing coursework to sit for the CPA exam and is enrolled in the AI Business Strategy Program at Johns Hopkins University. He is also working on completing a Project Management graduate certificate from the University of Virginia.
Outside of work, Todd is passionate about travel and adventure. He has visited more than 77 countries, hiked all of New Hampshire’s 4,000-foot peaks, and enjoys snorkeling in tropical waters. Todd grew up in New England but has lived all over the U.S. Todd is excited to explore the northern mid-Atlantic states alongside his spouse and their energetic Boykin Spaniel.
