Biography

2009-10 Indoor: Placed sixth in the high jump in a season-best leap of 1.58m at the America East Championships… UMBC’s best returner in the triple jump with a mark of 10.74m, set at the Rider/Lafayette Winter Games.

 

2008-09 Indoor: Placed eighth in the triple jump at the America East Championships with a season-best leap of 11.14m… Finished 11th in the high jump at the conference meet while recording a season best mark of 1.55m.

 

2009 Outdoor: Placed 10th in the high jump at the America East Championships… Finished 14th in the Triple Jump at the conference meet with a season-best leap of 10.64m… Season’s best high jump came at the Virginia Invitational with a mark of 1.55m.

2008 Outdoor: Finished fifth in the high jump at the America East Championships... Placed fourth in the high jump and 11th in the triple jump at the Colonial Relays… Finished sixth in the high jump and seventh in the triple jump at the Lou Onesty/Milton G. Abramson Invitational… Placed fourth in the high jump and eighth in the triple jump at the Bucknell Team Challenge.

 

2007-08 Indoor: Finished fourth in the high jump and 12th in the triple jump at the America East Championships… Placed fourth in the high jump at the Patriot Games… Placed fifth in the high jump and 11th in the triple jump at the Terrapin Invitational… Finished sixth in the triple jump and seventh in the high jump at the Gulden Relays… Placed seventh in the high jump at the Bison Opener.

 
 

Background: A three sport athlete at Farmingdale H.S. in Farmingdale, N.Y…. A member of the basketball and swimming teams…. Earned Merit Roll honors all four years of high school… Also a member of the Varsity Leadership Club and Student Government Association.
 
Personal: On of two daughters to Anthony and Lisa Batchelor… Has a sister, Sade, 14… Majoring in financial economics and aspires to be an accountant… Born Feb. 16, 1990.
