2011-12: Started and scored 12 points (6-of-8 fg) in the Nov. 4 exhibition game vs. CNJ... Started the opener vs. Penn, but played only seven minutes... Corralled nine rebounds in a season-high 21 minutes at St. John’s on Nov. 13... After starting the first four games, he did not play at Central Conn. on Nov. 22... Scored a season-high six points, hitting all three field goal attempts, in a 12-minute stint at Indiana on Dec. 22... Suffered a leg injury at Binghamton on Feb. 15... Did not dress in final four games of the campaign… Hit 9-of-14 field goal attempts in limited action (8.2 mpg) in 12 America East contests.

 
 
 

Background: Competed for a strong Abington Heights program which  won the Lackawanna Division 1 and District 2 (ranked No. 1) Class AAA titles and finished with a record of 29-3 in 2009-10… Earned All-Lackawanna League Second Team honors as a senior and started in Lackawanna League All-Star game… Averaged nearly 10.0 points per game… Also lettered in football for the Comets… Competed for The Hill School in a postgraduate year in 2010-11 and the team produced a record of 16-9… Is considering a career in optometry… Lists favorite professional team as the Chicago Bulls… Has three younger brothers, Grayson (age 18), Clayton (16) and Benjamin (14)… Son of Eileen and David Basalyga… Born March 3, 1992.
