2016: Named the team’s co-Unsung Hero… Competed in all six meets and scored in all six competitions… Placed second three times, at Paul Short, Princeton, and at NCAA Regionals… Capped her career in excellent fashion, placing 65th overall (of 198 runners) at Mid-Atlantic regionals at Penn State.
2015: Competed in every race for the Retrievers, scoring in three of them... She scored at the Mount 5k Duals (19:32), Wolfie Invite (20:27) and America East Championships (19:49)... Ran a 22:20 at the Paul Short Invite and a 22:54 at the Princeton Invitational... Ended the year at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals, where she crossed the tape in 23:27.
2014: Competed in five of the six meets for the Retrievers... Started off 2014 with a 47th place finish at the Mount 5K Duals in a time of 19:50... Ran her best time at the Paul Short Invitational, finishing in 23:16... At the America East Championships, she earned a 52nd place finish with a time of 19:45.
2013: Competed in five of UMBC’s six meets as a freshman for the Retrievers… Raced at the 2013 America East Championships, finishing the 6k course at Binghamton in a time of 20:19.82… Posted her top 6k time of the season at the Salty Dog Invitational at Navy on Sept. 15 with a time of 23:42.67… Also competed at the America East Pre-Conference Meet in Vestal, N.Y., the Princeton Invitational, and the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals at Lehigh
Background: Named to the All-County Second Team for cross country in 2010 and 2011… Earned the Coaches' Award in XC in 2010… Placed 15th at the state meet in 2010 and 16th in 2011… Helped lead Mount Hebron to a second place finish at the state championships in 2010.
Personal: Daughter of Robert and Pamela Vane… Has two sisters, Paige and Lauren, and one brother, Phillip.
