2023  

  • Was awarded 14 starts in goal
  • Allowed 2.11 goals per game and recorded a .727 saves percentage
  • Led the America East Conference with 5.14 saves per game
  • Recorded three shutouts (Kutztown, LIU, New Hampshire)
  • Made a season-high nine saves versus Drexel and High Point
  • Was also terrific in the scoreless draw versus UNH making eight saves

  • Was injured for the entirety of the 2022 season

2021

  • Debuted by collecting 13 saves in a double-overtime scoreless draw versus Longwood on Sept. 9
  • The 13 saves was the most by a Retriever netminder since Leah Roth stopped 13 on goal versus Liberty in August of 2016
  • Named America East Conference Rookie and co-Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 13
  • Earned her first win on Sept. 16 with a 2-0 shutout at Wagner
  • Posted her third shutout – registering eight saves - in four outings in a double-overtime draw versus NJIT on Oct. 14
  • Did not allow a goal in her first 255 minutes of action at Retriever Soccer Park
  • Finished the year with a 1.48 goals against average and a 81.0 percent save mark

BACKGROUND

  • As a sophomore, made 15 saves against Colts Neck to help the Colonials start an eight-game winning streak to make the Shore Conference Tournament

  • Played in net for Head Coach Elyse Ingui at Freehold High School

  • Also lettered in basketball, where she led her team in rebounds and blocks as a junior.

  • Played club soccer for Cedar Stars Academy 01/02 DA and 02/03 GA

  • Inducted into the National Honors Society

  • Named to the Honor Roll and President’s Honor Roll

  • A member of the Cybersecurity Club, American Computer Science League, and Boro Fights Cancer

PERSONAL

  • Daughter of Martha and Jonathan Cowles

  • Father played soccer at Syracuse University

  • Has one brother, Daniel, who currently plays baseball at St. Thomas Aquinas College

  • Considering a major in computer science, focusing on cybersecurity.

  • Lists her favorite book as The Great Gatsby.
