Biography
2018 Indoor: Competed in a slew of sprint events during his first indoor season… Opened the season with strong showings at the Bucknell Tri-Meet in the 600m (1:25.79) and the 300m (38.05)... Had a season best run in the 400m at the Penn State Tune-Up finishing in 52.50… Also had a season best run in the 800m at the Sykes & Sabock Challenge with a time of 1:59.34.
2018 Outdoor: Ran mostly in the 800m during the outdoor season with his season best time coming at the America East Championships with a time of 1:56.85.
Background: Named to Baltimore Sun All Metro Second Team in outdoor track in the spring of 2017… Tabbed to All-County squads by The Sun in indoor and outdoor track in his junior and senior campaigns… In the 2017 4A regional championships, clocked in with personal bests in the 4 x 800m (1:55 split), 800m (1:57) and 4 x 400m (49-second split)... Led the Lions to a rare county title in 2017… Selected as Best Senior Athlete in 2016-17 at Howard High School… An AP Scholar, member of Gold Honor Roll, and Latin and Music Honors’ Societies… Selected for the Peabody Youth Orchestra at Johns Hopkins… Considering a major in biological sciences and a career as a surgeon… Lists favorite movie as The Avengers… Also enjoys reading, working on his car and building furniture… Son of Jane and Steve Jenks.
