Men’s Track and Field Concludes Towson Invitational on Saturday

UMBC track and field concluded the Towson Invitational on Saturday, having another strong showing. A handful of Retrievers finished in the top ten of their respective events.

Towson, Md.-- UMBC track and field concluded the Towson Invitational on Saturday, having another strong showing. A handful of Retrievers finished in the top ten of their respective events.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • Nicolas Alphonse led the runners with his fourth place finish in the 110m hurdles. Alphonse finished the race in 14.94. 
  • Michael Arnold turned in a seventh place finish in the 400m in a time of 49.84. 
  • Marquis Miller and Brian Nelson went six-eight in the 200m dash. Miller took sixth in a time of 21.85 while Nelson took eighth in 21.96.
  • Will Sakowicz rounded out the individual runners with a 13th place finish in 5,000m in a time of 16:24.23.
  • The 4x100m relay team of Jayo Adegboyo, Taheer Pierce, Miller, and Julian Vissering took fourth in a time of 42.92.
  • In the field, Jordan Lomax took tenth in the high jump at 1.80m.

The Retrievers will be back in action next Saturday, April 9 when they travel to George Mason Spring Invite.
