Emsie Cronin

Emsie Cronin was named UMBC Athletics’ compliance coordinator in August, 2021.

Cronin served as compliance coordinator at the University of Hartford during the 2020-21 academic year. Among her responsibilities with UMBC’s America East partner, she assisted with the initial certification for student-athletes, completed and assisted with waivers to the NCAA and worked directly with student-athletes, coaches and staff on matters related to NCAA rules education.

In May, 2021, Cronin completed her Master of Science degree in athletic administration from Springfield (Mass.) College. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in geology from Mount Holyoke (Mass.) College in May, 2019.

Cronin was a standout cross country and track and field student-athlete and member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee at Mount Holyoke. She earned five NEWMAC Academic All-Conference honors and was a part of a record-setting 3200-meter relay quartet in 2019.
