Biography

2006: Played in 18 games for the Retrievers, starting two, in her first season at UMBC… Scored seven goals and added three assists for 10 points… Also picked up 10 ground balls, won eight draw controls and caused on turnover… Scored first career goal and added an assist for two points in the season opener against Howard… Made first career start against Manhattan and scored a goal… Scored the game-winner against Binghamton.

Background: Was a junior college all-region selection in 2005… named second-team coaches all-county by the Maryland Gazette in 2003… Also lettered in basketball and soccer and was a second-team all-county selection in basketball by the Maryland Gazette in 2003… Daughter of John and Anne Spinnenweber… Is the second of five children… Has three brothers, John, Stephen and Andrew, and a sister, Amanda… Comes from an athletic family, as her father played basketball at the University of Baltimore, her brother John played baseball at St. Mary’s College and her sister Amanda was a high school all-American who plays lacrosse at Maryland… Born May 10, 1985… An American studies major with a certificate in communications and media studies… Hopes to work in the media.
