Biography

2006: Named to the America East all-conference second team… Ranked third on the team with 33 goals, 45 points, 33 draw controls and 42 ground balls… Also posted 12 assists and 11 caused turnovers… Ranked second on the team with 13 goals and 18 points in conference games… Named to the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll and the America East spring all-academic squad… Started all 18 games and posted 10 multi-goal games on the season… Scored a career-high five goals and six points in UMBC’s victory over conference foe Binghamton… Tallied four goals, five points and five draw controls in the Retrievers’ season-opening victory over Howard… Posted a hat trick against Manhattan and No. 11 William and Mary… Tallied five points on three goals and two assists in UMBC’s upset 16-13 victory over No. 11 Boston University… Tied for 10th in the conference with 0.67 free-position goals per game in America East contests.

 

2005: Led the team with 15 assists and 12 caused turnovers… Finished second on the team in draw controls (42) and ground balls (28) and third in goals (18), points (33) and shots (64)… Started all 15 games for the Retrievers… Tied for fourth in the conference with 2.80 draw controls per game and seventh with 1.00 assists per game… Posted four multi-goal games on the season… Scored four goals in the Retrievers’ 14-13 win over conference foe Vermont… Posted a hat trick and added two assists against conference rival Stony Brook… Tallied five points on two goals and three assists in UMBC’s 9-8 overtime victory over American… Registered four points on a goal and three assists in the Retrievers’ 16-7 win over America East rival Binghamton.

 

2004: Named to the America East all-conference second team and all-rookie team… Started all 16 games for the Retrievers… Scored 23 goals and recorded nine assists to finish the year ranked third on the team in scoring… Led the team in draw controls with 40, and was second in ground balls with 30… Notched her first career goal and point against Loyola... Scored the game-winner in the 13-12 win over American to lead UMBC to its first win of the season… Earned America East Rookie of the Week and womenslacrosse.com Honor Roll honors after scoring five goals in two games, including the game-winner against American… Had eight multi-goal games.

 

Background: Received first-team all-county honors from The Aegis in 2002 and 2003 and from The Baltimore Sun in 2003… Also lettered in basketball and soccer, earning first-team all-county honors for both sports as a senior… Was a Minds in Motion student-athlete, achieving at least a 3.2 GPA while playing a sport at Bel Air… Daughter of Tom and Brenda Fahey… Has an older brother, Chris… Born Nov. 10, 1985… Majoring in American studies.
