On Carpenter: Fifth-year senior who is a solid contributor on both ends of the field…a team leader.

 

2005: Saw action in 12 games for the Retrievers, starting eight… Collected 11 ground balls, won five draw controls and caused five turnovers on the season.

 

2004: Red-shirted due to a knee injury.

 

Background: A junior college all-American at CCBC-Catonsville in 2002 and 2003… Led her team to a national championship title both years, earning all-tournament and all-regional team honors… Her team was undefeated both years, as well… Was her school's Female Athlete of the Year in 2003… Named Unsung Hero of her high school team in 2000… Also lettered in soccer at CCBC-Catonsville and helped lead her team to Nationals in 2001 and 2002… Full name is Edith Carpenter… Daughter of Joel and Betsy Carpenter… Father played football at Ohio Wesleyan… Has a younger sister, Heidi… Born Nov. 24, 1983… Majoring in American studies.
