Biography

2022-23 Indoor 

  • Ran a personal best 8:54.06 in the 3000 meters at the America East Championships

2023 Outdoor

  • UMBC’s top finisher in the 1500 meters at the America East Championships, posting a mark of 4:04.42 (20th place) 
  • Posted a personal record of 4:04.13 in the 1,500m at the Bison Classic 

2022 Outdoor: Mostly competed in the 1,500m during the 2022 outdoor season… Set a career-best time of 4:06.67 in the 1,500m at the Hopkins/Loyola Invitational… Also ran in the 800m at the Towson Invitational with a time of 1:58.53.

2021-22 Indoor: Competed mostly in the 3,000m during the season with his best time coming at the Navy Invitational with a time of 8:54.79… Also competed in the 1,000m and the mile recording top times of 2:36.64 at the Nittany Lion Challenge and 4:31.40 at the George Mason Patriot Games respectively.

2021 Outdoor: Competed at just two meets during the season in the 1,500m with his best time coming at the Hopkins/Loyola Invitational with a time of 4:18.86.

Background: Named to the Carroll County Cross Country All-County First and Second Teams during his career at South Carroll… Earned First Team All-County Indoor Track honors as a senior… Finished 15th at the Maryland State Meet during his senior season, helping lead his team to a fifth-place overall finish… Son of Christine and Michael Cave… Has two siblings, Ryan and Aedan… Lists favorite food as tacos and favorite musical artist as Guns N’ Roses.
