Biography

2016-17 Indoor: Ran mostly in the 5000m during the indoor season… Set a career mark in the 3000m with a time of 9:01.8… Earned a career mark during the 5000m with a time of 15:39.7 at the Sykes & Sabock Challenge Cup

2017 Outdoor: Only ran in the 5000m at the George Mason Spring Invitational, earning a time of 15:43.8.

2016 Outdoor: Ran in the 10,000m during the spring season, with his best finish coming at the Colonial Relays in a time of 33:36.56.

2015-16 Indoor: Participated in the 3,000m and 5,000m runs during the indoor season... Had his best finish in the 3,000m at the Penn State Relays with a time of 9:05.32... Crossed the tape in the 5,000m in 15:50.18 at the Great Dane Classic.

2015 Outdoor: Did not compete... Named to America East Commissioners' Honor Roll.

2014-15 Indoor: Competed in distance events for the Retrievers during his first season in Baltimore... Set a season best time in the 3,000m run at the Penn State Relays, finishing in a time of 9:18.99... Also ran in the 5,000m run at the Terrapin Invitational, crossing the tape in a time of 15:51.71.

Background: Was the co-captain for cross country and track his senior year… Won the Group 1 Sectional Championship in the 3200m his junior season… Is a four time All-Conference selection… A member of the three time New Jersey State Group 1 Cross Country Champions. 

Personal: Son of Cindy and Chris Kessler… Has two brothers, Nick and Andrew… Considering a major in Chemical Engineering… Born Apr. 28, 1996.
