Biography

2021-22

  • Earned gold in the 100 butterfly and took third in the 200 fly at the Navy Invitational
  • A two-time finalist at the ECAC Winter Championships, placing fourth in the 200 butterfly and sixth in the 100 fly
  • Produced an outstanding meet versus Towson, placing second in the 100 butterfly and third in the 200 fly

2020-21

  • Debuted as a Retriever by capturing both butterfly events at the George Mason Invitational
  • Placed second to teammate Charles Bennici in the 200 fly at VMI
  • Earned silver as part of 200 medley relay squad at America East Championships
  • UMBC’s top finisher with a sixth-place effort in 100 fly in Newark and earned solid points with fifth-place performances in 200 free and butterfly   
  • His times in both fly events were career bests

BACKGROUND: 

  • Earned gold in the 100 fly and 100 back at the 2019 Sunset League Championships
  • A four-time Sunset League champion, three-time CIF state championship finalist, and two-time qualifier for the USA Swimming Winter Junior National Championships
  • Earned Sunset League All-Academic Team honors on four occasions and a three-time USA Swimming Scholastic All-American
  • Considering a major in political science and a career in law or politics
  • A two-time winner of the Huntington Beach Public Library creative writing contest
  • Considered UCSB, UNLV and Cleveland State, but selected UMBC due it its “location, academic quality, team and the storied swimming program”
  • A fan of the NFL’s Miami Dolphins
  • Enjoys reading, creative writing and photography
